Katie's Ski Tracks

Helping to make the impossible very possible!

Katie's Ski Tracks is a small voluntary organisation, but with a very big heart, which provides skiing holiday opportunities to children with varying disabilities and even terminal ilness. For the cast majority there will be little or no opportunity to participate in this type of sporting activity and therefore they are normally excluded. Katie's has twenty yeard experience and continues to provide all the nexessary specialised equipment, instruction and volunteers including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, ski guides, instructors and entertainments officers to enable this unique and valuable life changing experience to become a reality.

These therapeutic skiing holidays enable the children to participate and succeed in a sport they would never of dremt possible, they too can enjoy a sport that we may simply just take for granted, hence allowing them the experience and the sheer beauty that the mountains have to offer. These opportunities help them to temporarily forget about their disability and meet their future positively, growing in confidence and self esteem. These are the building blocks to Katie's success if not life itself, allowing them to make the impossible possible.

Due to the extensive specialist care that is needed, the average cost for each child on a ski trip is £1,550. SkiBound as a company are actively fundraising for Katie's Ski Tracks and with your help, we can make this opportunity a reality for so many more children. We are giving you the chance, as a party leader, to make a difference by adding a £1 donation per passenger to your tour price. Please support events in out Clubhotels that will be taking place throughout the season.

For all of you that helped support Katie’s Ski Tracks during the 2010-2011 winter season, we are delighted to inform you that we raised a total of £5,871 from events, raffles, collection boxes and donations by our generous clients.
