One of Switzerland’s most important winter sports resorts, Saas Grund and its neighbour Saas Fee offer an excellent range of high-altitude skiing for all abilities. Many of the pistes are between 2500-3500m, making Saas Fee one of the most snowsure resorts around.
Saas Fee oozes Swiss charm and the setting is stunning, with spectacular glaciers and 4000m peaks surrounding the beautiful car-free village. SkiBound groups will stay in Saas Fee, which enables SkiBound group’s easy access to the slopes and offers excellent après-ski activities including a large outdoor ice-rink, a swimming pool and husky dog sledding.
Saas-Fee’s nearly 100 km of downhill trails are superbly divided between beginner, intermediate and expert. There are large, convenient nursery slopes close to the village and plenty of pristine, open blue runs. Intermediates have plenty of cruising runs, the longest being from Mittelallalin back to the village, a drop of over 1700m. Advanced skiers can attempt the steeper red and black runs and practice powder and mogul skiing.
Snowboarders have the Snow Park at the Mittelallalin with jumps, five rails, a halfpipe, a quarterpipe and a triple kicker line.
