Why choose this resort?

Forming part of the impressive Ski Amadé region, Hochkönig gives your students access to one of the largest ski area in Austria. 120km of skiable piste has been enhanced with links connecting Mühlbach in the East to Maria Alm in the West. Offering uncrowded and well-groomed slopes, Mühlbach is consistently highly rated by our groups providing a great choice for all levels of skiers. An efficient system of 33 lifts connects a trio of pristine ski areas including Dienten, Mühlbach and Maria Alm. The Hochkönig mountain range is as impressive as Mühlbach’s ski school with students receiving expert tuition to progress during the week. Expect a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the traditional villages where there is an emphasis on offering Austrian ‘Gemütlichkeit’.

On the slopes

Supporting the resort’s outstanding snow record is a snowmaking capability covering 85% of the ski area. Beginners will quickly gain their confidence on the sunny slopes of the Arthurhaus plateau above Mühlbach before moving on to join the intermediates in the main ski area on the Schneeberg. Accessible via the Karbachalm Gondola, found just 1.3km from our hotel, Schneeberg offers many wide open cruisers to help students develop their confidence and turning. From here, the interconnecting circuit opens out towards Dienten and the Kollmannsegg. The more experienced skiers in your group are not forgotten about with over half of the resort catering for red and advanced runs including the joy ride of the Ostabfahrt black run. One of Austria's top ski resorts providing kickers, boxes, halfpipes and moguls for some all-important air time.
