St Jean d’Arves

The pretty alpine village of St. Jean enjoys a prime location at the heart of the Maurienne region. Nestled in the Aiguilles d’Arves valley, this essentially rural village boasts the splendid backdrop of the magnificent Arves peaks.

Resort
The rustic French feel of this resort makes a refreshing change from the less attractive resorts so often associated with the finest ski areas. Along with neighbouring St. Sorlin, St. Jean sits right on the doorstep of the impressive Sybelles ski area which promises unlimited ski and snowboarding possibilities over vast domain in excess of 300km. Beginners and intermediates are particularly well catered for here with an impressive range of pistes for all to enjoy.  

Ski level
The local ski pass covers St Jean d’Arves – Le Corbier and with 90km of piste it is a superb ski destination, particularly for beginners and intermediates. In addition to the skiing, the superb panoramic views and generous sunshine levels make it a choice resort for school groups.

Snowboarding
Again, a superb choice for beginner and intermediate boarders and there is a snow park in Le Corbier. Links to the Sybelles ski area open up an endless choice of varied slopes and snowboarding facilities!
