Sansicario

Nestled between Sestriere and Sauze d’Oulx is the lesser known resort of Sansicario, a wonderful addition to our Italian programme offering doorstep skiing accommodation and direct access to the entire Milky Way ski circuit.

The resort
Sansicario is a small and tastefully designed purpose-built ski resort on the Italian side of the huge Milky Way pass, which joins half a dozen resorts from Montgenevre in France to Pragelato in Italy. The area was the main venue for the 2006 Winter Olympics and Sansicario played a major part, hosting the women's downhill, Super G and biathlon events. Off the slopes, the village centre is small but well-designed. It's totally traffic free, making it the ideal choice for SkiBound groups.

The skiing & boarding
With 400km of piste of offer, the Milky Way has something for everyone.  Under the guidance from the highly-rated ski school, first time skiers are soon progressing to the higher slopes. Intermediates have a fairly vast array of opportunities on their doorstep, from open bowls to freshly groomed trails. Advanced skiers will be spoilt for choice in the region, with both Olympic and World Cup runs to tackle and a huge choice of off-piste options.
