Founded by Walt Disney, Sugar Bowl has always been famous for its rich history, classic ambiance and superior customer service. While these attributes still ring true, Sugar Bowl now has the modern facilities that make it a complete and first class ski resort.
The Resort
Sugar Bowl has three peaks; Mt. Judah, Mt. Lincoln and Mt. Disney. Combined, they offer over 1,500 acres of outstanding terrain for all levels. Sitting high atop Donner Summit, Sugar Bowl averages over 500 inches of feather-light snow per year. Just in case the snowfall comes a little late, Sugar Bowl continues to improve their snowmaking system to ensure great early season conditions. Despite its wide variety of terrain and laid-back feel, Sugar Bowl is another of Tahoe's best kept secrets.
Ski level
There is a large beginner area at Mt. Judah and some lovely gentle slopes from the top of the Christmas Tree chairlift. Intermediates will find plenty of easier blue and black runs on Mt. Lincoln and Mt. Judah. Experts should head to ridge runs off Mt. Disney or the steep cliff area off the Silver Belt chairlift.
Snowboarding
Snowboarders will find some great natural lips, jumps, and quarter pipes and should enjoy the ample snow. There are also several terrain parks, catering for all abilities.
