The Canyons is the fourth largest ski area in the U.S. with 3,700 acres of slopes. Utah’s friendly welcome and ‘Greatest Snow on Earth’ make the destination ideal for a school ski trip.
Resorts
Spread across eight peaks of Utah’s Wasatch Mountains, The Canyons offers a diverse selection of slopes, from wide-open groomed trails to dramatic steeps and tight tree runs. Off the slopes, there is plenty to see and enjoy, from the historic Main Street of Park City to the Outlet Shops.
Ski level
The famous Utah ‘Greatest Snow on Earth’ blankets the slopes of The Canyons, where groups can enjoy expert tuition in beautiful surroundings. ‘The Flight of The Canyons Gondola’ rises from the resort village base to the Red Pine Lodge, from where beginners can make their first turns and the more advanced can set off to explore the resorts slopes. There are simply dozens of intermediate trails, from the long cruisers of the Dreamscape area to the greater challenges of Apex Ridge and those below the Lookout Cabin.
Snowboarding
Snowboarders and freestylers will find two terrain peaks – Progression Park off Saddleback Express and an advanced Terrain Park from the Sun Peaks Express. In addition, the resort boasts a number of natural half-pipes.
