With a top station at almost 3000metres a school ski trip to Jungfrau will literally put your head in the clouds and as there’s also over 200kms of skiable terrain available, all that’s left for you to do is pack your bags and dive straight in. This setting is as classically Swiss as a chocolate cuckoo clock and, if you’re a fan of James Bond, check out the revolving restaurant at the top of the Shilthorn because the views are as icily cool as a dry Martini, shaken not stirred. As your accommodation is located just outside of resort this package offers great value for money and from glacial train trips to loads of après ski ideas, Jungfrau has innumerate ways to occupy your precious ones.
The Skiing and Boarding
Thanks to some extremely fat blue runs, beginners will never have to fear disappearing off piste and the forgiving incline of the Kleine Scheidegg mountain pass enables new starters to really feel at home straight from the start. If you’re an intermediate then taking a more direct route allows you to start and finish alongside your beginner pals but not necessarily at the same time. Advanced skiers will no doubt love the chance to flex their guns on the Lauberhorn World Cup slalom circuit although the steep mogul field at the top of the Schilthorn is equally as enticing. This is an excellent area for exploring and finding the best run for you and, thanks to an extremely efficient mountain railway system, trips to neighbouring: Wengen, Grindelwald and Mürren are just around the snow-covered bend.
Après Ski
As you’ll be setting up camp just outside of resort don’t expect too much après ski action right on your doorstep however, as Interlaken is just 5 minutes’ drive away, then delights such as: bowling, swimming, discos and pizzerias, are easily accessible by coach.
