Located high on the sunny plateau of the Alpes Vaudoises, the charming villages of Leysin and Les Mosses are the ideal choice for beginners and intermediate skiers in Switzerland, as well as being great resorts for snowboarders.
Resort
The resorts of Leysin and Les Mosses are located next to each other, each offering its own ski area, of 60km and 50km respectively, with the possibility to upgrade the lift pass to include the full 110km. The two ski areas are linked by a ski bus which takes less than 10 minutes and is included in the lift pass.
On top of this, you can also upgrade to include the whole Alpes Vaudoises ski area of 225km, including the Glacier 3000 (this is advisable for coach groups only).
Ski level
Les Mosses offers ideal nursery beginner slopes at resort level, while Leysin has long, winding blue runs across the whole resort, to give beginners a feeling of achievement at the end of the week. Both resorts are good for intermediates with a variety of uncrowded, red and black runs.
Snowboarding
With its own snow park and half-pipe at the top of the main gondola, Leysin is very highly rated by snowboarders. Les Mosses also offers two snow parks to amuse snow boarders.
