Verbier is one of the world’s most famous ski resorts and part of the Quatre Vallées ski area with access to 412km of downhill skiing and 193 individual pistes, served by 92 ski lifts. The resort has a good snow record and an improved lift system.
Resorts
Verbier is a traditional resort, set on a wide, sunny plateau, surrounded by stunning scenery. The resort of Verbier itself offers 195km of piste, but there is also the option of upgrading your pass to access the larger Quatre Vallées ski area, which incorporates Nendaz and Veysonnaz.
Ski level
Les Esserts, within the village, is an ideal starting point for beginners with a 120m magic carpet and snow making facilities, well away from the main runs. Intermediates inevitably have the greatest choice with hundreds of kilometres of blue and red runs, particularly in Savoleyres and from the Col des Gentianes down to Les Ruinettes.
Snowboarding
Snowboarders will enjoy a variety of snow parks including the popular slopes of La Chaux and the 1936 Neipark.
