Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!

7 Nov, 2013 in Europe, France by Tim Jenkins

The lights are turned way down low as the clocks have now gone back and the British Summer has now vanished. So why are we not sitting here wondering what Santa is going to bring us in 6 weeks’ time? Well wake up snow worshippers as the snow has arrived and, as seen from the pictures of our Clubhotel Vallee Blanche in Alpe D’Huez, the pow is already looking good for another great ski season.

It is time to grab your skis, do your best John Cleese walk as you trudge through the snow and hit the fresh morning powder as you duck and weave down the slopes. The ski season is upon us so whether you ride skis or are suffering withdrawal symptoms from the summer surf and prefer rocking a deck, now is the time to start getting excited as the winter solstice is fast approaching and the slopes are waiting for you!

France is already looking good for snow and our friends from the Beast of the East (Killington, USA) are also already open for business. With the second half of the Autumn Term arriving quicker than a parcel from Royal Mail, students will already be eagerly awaiting two hugely important events – Christmas and their ski trip. There will be murmurings of who is sharing rooms with who and who will be looking to up-level their ski runs this season. Party Leaders will be finalising their trip with the Skibound team and will be looking forward to leaving the monitoring and assessment at home for a week to join their students in an experience that brings the group together. This is the fantastic aspect of a ski trip – the chance to get to know the students away from the parameters of the classroom. Characters come out of their shells and, those students who seem a little more introvert, develop the self-confidence to bond with their peers in a social environment.

Doorstep skiing, modern Clubhotels, glacier skiing and superb après-ski activities is a recipe for success and Skibound are ready for another season of providing groups with the best service, equipment from the top brands and entertainment that will have your students come together through fun and laughter. From the firm-favourite of Tignes in the east to the dream resort of La Plagne, and our southernmost resort of Serre Chevalier to the slope-side Skilt in Les Menuires, our 7 Clubhotels provide the perfect setting for first-time and novices to intermediates and advanced skiers. With 24 hour staffing of our hotels, buffets that will make you question the size of your Salopettes and a team of in-house technicians that will ensure you’re kitted out with the sweetest hardware ready to carve out the first tracks, consider yourself in safe hands with Skibound.

The Skibound representatives are itching to meet you on the slopes and share some awesome memories with your groups as we all wait in anticipation for the date of our trip humming the age-old tune of Let it Snow.
