As we like to do that extra little bit to ensure the safety of all customers, and to make the process as simple as possible, please use this section to assist you with completing the necessary paperwork you need for your tour.

Here at SkiBound we carry out safety audits completed by qualified staff of the main components within your chosen ski and snowboard tour. The audits cover the accommodation, transportation and après ski activities to ensure your tour will run as smoothly as possible.

Your task is to 'assess the risks' that could relate specifically to your group as each group can vary considerably and to effectively manage these risks you will need to create your own Risk Assessment document to help to identify ways to reduce the highlighted risks. This document is also a document that may be required to be completed for your Local Education Authority to approve permission to facilitate your school trip.

We understand your main reasons for arranging a school ski trip is to give your students the best yet safe trip you can but assessing the risks of a ski tour involving youths can seem like a mammoth task. However, please do not worry. We are here to help you with anything you may need.

6 steps guide – How to complete Your Risk Assessment

• Check for hazards within the accommodation, in resort, on excursions and on your chosen method of transportation

• Identify who may be at risk by the hazardLook at ways the risk caused by the hazard can be controlled

• Record what you found on your risk assessment

• Implement your control measures when enjoying the trip with your school

• Enjoy your trip knowing all risks have been effectively managed

• A pen or pencil

• Paper

• An open eye

NB: Please use this document to create your own personalised specific Risk Assessment which will assess the particular risks that will be specific to your group’s individual needs. The variable factors to include may consist of: special needs, disability, medical ailments, allergies, behavioural issues or most commonly the age of your students.
