  School Travel Forum

SkiBound is a full member of the School Travel Forum. The School Travel Forum is a group of leading school tour operators that promote good practice and safety in school travel.

All full members of the STF adhere to a rigorous Code of Practice and Safety Management Standards which meet the requirements of DfES guidelines and are externally verified each year by suitably qualified independent Health and Safety professionals.

The STF initiative has the support of some of the following: SHA - Secondary Heads Association, NAHT - National Association of Head Teachers, ATL - Association of Teachers and Lecturers: the education union, PAT - Professional Association of Teachers.

  Learning Outside the Classroom – LOtC Quality Badge Scheme 

The Department for Children, Schools and Families has worked in partnership with the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom to develop the LOtC Quality Badge.

We are very pleased to announce that SkiBound is an accredited Quality Badge provider. We have shown that we have pledged to engage in an on-going process to sustain high-quality learning outside the classroom and have demonstrated that we meet six quality indicators:

We have a process in place to assist users to plan the
learning experience effectively;
We provide accurate information about our offers;
We provide activities, experience or resources which
meet learner needs;
We review your experience and act upon feedback;We meet the needs of users;
We have a safety management process in place to
manage risk effectively.

The Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) Quality Badge provides for the first time a national accreditation combining the essential elements of provision, learning and safety, into one easily recognisable and trusted Quality Badge for all types of Learning Outside the Classroom provider organisations.
