Why choose this resort?

Sierra-at-Tahoe has become one of Lake Tahoe’s largest resort areas with nearly 2,000 acres of skiable terrain. Receiving on average 12 metres of snow each year, the resort holds onto its great snow conditions throughout the season. A trip to the shops is never far away with the resort’s local amenities and ski stores situated close to the accommodation lodgings. This wind-protected wonderland epitomises California and from huge helpings of hospitality to picture-perfect panoramas, you’ll soon learn why our groups just love Sierra-at-Tahoe.

On the slopes

As the resort is spread out across 2 peaks you’ll discover a whole host of options no matter your students’ ability levels. The slopes offer up a variety of terrain with cruise runs for beginners and table tops for boarders all naturally organised by the mountain’s tree-lines. A quarter of runs are aimed at giving beginners the platform to develop their snow-plough into parallel turns. Intermediate skiers will certainly not feel left out with at least 23 runs providing enough challenges to keep them happy all week. The remaining slopes offer more experienced skiers some advanced trails with a selection of black diamond and double diamond runs.
There are 5 terrain parks pitted throughout the pine-covered mountain slopes equipped with natural pipes. With all well-maintained runs funnelling skiers and boarders back to base, it is even easier for students to meet up with their friends after time with the ski schools.
