Why choose this resort?
As you would imagine from the 2012 host of the first ever Youth Winter Olympics, the capital of the Tyrol region is completely geared towards school ski parties. A variety of lift passes are available depending on where school groups are accommodated or on their ability. Many of our schools like the flexibility offered by the regional lift pass covering all 9 ski areas surrounding the city including the Stubai Valley, Axamer Lizum and Kühtai. Groups staying in the Stubai Valley automatically receive the Stubai Super Ski Pass which offers 140km of skiing in the valley and on the Stubai Glacier.
On the slopes
Local slopes are very accessible and Austrian efficiency can be found in abundance in the guise of the lift system which will transport your group to new heights. There’s over 100kms of piste to choose from and just half of this total is dedicated to beginner runs ensuring those new to the slopes are more than adequately catered for. Skiers looking to step up a level will discover just under 40kms of intermediates at their disposal, whilst those with experience of going tips down have a further 23kms of advanced runs to explore. Groups on a school ski trip to Innsbruck/Stubai staying in Tulfes and Innsbruck receive a lift pass including Glungezer and Axamer Lizum. Those who are staying in Schönberg will have access to the Stubai Super Ski Pass with over 140km of skiing to choose from including the Stubai Glacier. For groups seeking to extend their ski area, it is possible for all within a group to upgrade to a regional pass covering 9 ski areas around Innsbruck. With Innsbruck the spiritual home of the Air & Style snowboard contest, boarders can rest assured all of their needs have been more than taken into consideration.
