Why choose this resort?

Forming part of the huge Portes du Soleil ski area, Morzine provides an authentic mountain village atmosphere. Located on the Franco-Swiss border, Morzine remains a popular school ski trip destination, providing good snow across its 125kms of slopes. Nestled between forest areas and Mont Blanc to the south, Morzine is filled with as many local facilities as it has picturesque views. The resort is supported by a series of 49 ski lifts transporting school groups to the slopes quicker. The vast unspoilt open spaces provide some excellent terrain to explore before an evening of après-ski activities within the locality.

On the slopes

The Morzine Les Gets sector provides beginners with easier terrain found near the village base and supported by a series of snow guns. The Pleney side allows beginners to develop their confidence while experiencing some wide tree-lined slopes. As your students develop over the first couple of days, they can move on to the great choice of easily accessible blue runs. Recent updates to the Morzine lift system mean school groups are able to avoid lengthy queues and get higher up the mountain quicker. With approximately over a third of the slopes classed as red runs, the more confident skiers within your group will be faced with plenty of challenges. The red runs above Morzine town are testing but generally wide meaning both skiers and snowboarders within your school ski group can enjoy the runs accessed via the Pleney plateau lifts. The experts in your group can head for higher ground to take on the remaining black runs. Mixed ability groups love Morzine as the bowl-like layout of the pistes allows for students to meet up at periods throughout the day. Those seeking the chance to take on some freestyle skiing can head to the boardercross park accessible via the Nyon lift.
