Why choose this resort?
The three ski areas of Bormio, Santa Caterina and San Colombano-Oga/Valdidentro are combined in one pass, offering a great range of skiing and over 100kms of piste.
Santa Caterina di Valfurva is located in the heart of Stelvio National Park and surrounded by the high peaks of the Ortles-Cevedale group. Expect unspoilt nature, superb snow conditions and stunning high peaks. In Santa Caterina, the hotel is located just 350m away from the nursery slopes and the lifts.
Our accommodation in Bormio is within walking distance from the main gondola and is adjacent to the resort centre. With ski hire and lockers on the mountain at Bormio 2000, along with the main ski school meeting point, Skibound groups on a school ski trip to Bormio can walk to the gondola in their own shoes or trainers, and enjoy an ideal resort set up at the mid-station. Hot lunches are also provided for our groups, next to the ski school meeting point on the slopes at Bormio 2000.
On the slopes
Groups staying in the scenic village of Santa Caterina will ski the Santa Caterina di Valfurva ski area, with 35km of peaceful pistes allowing beginners to gain confidence on uncrowded runs. The high-altitude lifts take you up to 2770m, making for brilliant skiing all season long.
With the Bormio 50km of skiable terrain, the ski area opens up a great choice of slopes to suit all ability levels. The main nursery area in Bormio is at 2000m, at the mid-station of the main gondola. By the end of the week, beginners will be able to continue to the summit of the Cime Bianca at over 3000m and enjoy the long blue run down. Bormio, with its long sweeping runs and fast easy routes, is a haven for intermediate skiers.
