ABTOT, the Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust, is a government-approved body that has protected travellers’ money since 1993. SkiBound ski trips without flights are ABTOT protected through Skibound Limited, membership number 5726.

This protection is required by The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018, and ABTOT is how we meet it. It’s there in the background, so you never need to think about it.

How ABTOT protects your group should your operator financially fail

  • If you haven’t travelled yet: you’ll get a refund.
  • If you’re already away: where transport is part of your package, ABTOT makes sure your group gets home.
  • Help while you’re abroad: if you ever need it, ABTOT’s 24/7 helpline is on 01702 811397.

So whether your group travels by coach to the Alps or stays at one of our own Clubhotels in France, your money is protected should your operator fail.

ABTA, the Association of British Travel Agents, is the UK’s largest travel association. Its members sell around £41 billion of holidays and travel arrangements each year, and the ABTA logo has been a sign of confidence for travellers for more than 75 years.

As an ABTA member, SkiBound commits to ABTA’s Code of Conduct. It sets clear standards for how we plan, sell and deliver your ski trip, from accurate information before you book to how we look after your group while you’re away.

What ABTA membership means for your school

  • High professional standards: we follow ABTA’s Code of Conduct on every ski trip we organise.
  • Clear, fair information: you’ll know exactly what’s included before you commit.
  • Independent support: in the unlikely event of a dispute we can’t resolve together, ABTA’s complaints and dispute resolution service is there to help.
  • Expertise you can rely on: ABTA supports its members with guidance on travel law, health and safety and crisis management.

ATOL, the Air Travel Organiser’s Licence, is a UK government financial protection scheme run by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). By law, any company selling flight-inclusive packages in the UK must hold an ATOL, and SkiBound is proud to be licensed. So whether your group is flying to France, Italy or further afield, your ski trip is ATOL protected from the moment you pay.

How ATOL protects your group should your operator financially fail

  • Your ATOL Certificate: when you book a ski trip with flights, we’ll send you an ATOL Certificate. It confirms exactly what’s protected, so keep it safe.
  • Before you travel: if we’re unable to provide your ski trip due to financial failure, you’ll be entitled to a refund.
  • While you’re away: the ATOL scheme makes sure your group can continue your ski trip or return home.

SkiBound ATOL number: 2165. You can check it on the CAA’s ATOL holder search.
