Why choose Valmeinier
Groups choosing Valmeinier will enjoy 150km of skiable piste in the Galibier-Thabor area where 70% of terrain is above 2000 metres, ensuring good conditions throughout the season. The resort is well suited for all ski abilities, with excellent access to the mountain from the SkiBound accommodation, and a ski school meeting point just 20 metres from the front door. A beginner’s area sits right outside the hotel; intermediate skiers can cruise the many wide blue and red runs and advanced skiers are catered for with several tougher descents including a mogul field above Valmeinier.

On the slopes
Directly next to the hotel, there are two lifts and a debutant area. One lift goes up the Valmeinier side and one lift goes down and across the valley to the Valloire side of the mountain. The debutant area is modest but more than sufficient for the first couple of days before the beginners transfer up the first lift to the green and blue runs. The first lift from the hotel takes you up to 1800m. ESF moniteurs supervise the group from the bottom of the lift and escort students up. Groups automatically receive a lift pass for Galibiere-Thabor supported by over 400 snow cannons.
