Why choose Valloire
Valloire is a long-term favourite with Skibound clients. It is one of the most welcoming and charming resorts of the Maurienne valley, located in the beautiful terrain between the Col du Galibier and the Col du Telegraphe passes. With the first ski lift installed in 1937, Valloire has a proud history in skiing, extensive snow cannons and 70% of the Valloire/Valmeinier ski area is above 2000m. The village is bustling with cafes and restaurants and students can enjoy a range of apres-ski activities including skating and bowling.

On the slopes
Valloire offers great skiing via the ski area Galibier-Thabor, particularly for beginner and intermediate skiers. We have a long history of working with the Valloire ESF ski school who helps students to enjoy the variety of terrain from the wooded trails on La Setaz, reached by the cable car of the same name. The other cable car Cret de la Brive transports you to Le Crey du Quart, on the other side you’ll find the twin resorts of Valmeinier at 1500m and 1800m. Wide-open cruising runs on the Gros Grey 2594m make this area ideal for progressing beginners and intermediates. More experienced skiers have the challenge of the Olympic run on the Grandes Drozes leading down into Valmeiner 1500.
