SkiBound Wins Innovator Award at Vamoos Awards 2025

We are thrilled to announce that SkiBound has been honoured with the Innovator Award at the Vamoos Awards 2025!

This prestigious accolade recognises our unique and innovative use of the Vamoos app, transforming it into the ultimate ski resort toolkit for school ski trips. This achievement underscores our commitment to making school ski trips as seamless and enjoyable as possible for Group Leaders, both during the planning stages and while on tour.

Revolutionising School Ski Trips with Vamoos

At SkiBound, we understand the complexities involved in organising school ski trips. From coordinating travel arrangements to ensuring students have a memorable and safe experience on the slopes, the responsibilities of a Group Leader are immense. To alleviate these challenges, we implemented the Vamoos app for clients travelling to certain resorts this past ski season, providing a comprehensive solution that centralises all essential information in one easily accessible place.

Vamoos was initially designed to simplify travel by presenting important information offline. However, it has evolved into a powerful tool that enhances the end-user experience and streamlines internal processes. The app includes local information, interactive mapping, points of interest, weather forecasts, daily itineraries, live flight alerts, sharing capabilities, and much more.

Taking Vamoos to the Next Level

Our innovative approach to using Vamoos has set us apart. We have customised the app to serve as an all-encompassing ski resort toolkit, tailored specifically for school ski trips. Here are some of the unique features we have integrated:

• Live Mountain Webcams: Group Leaders can access real-time footage of the slopes, helping them prepare for the day's skiing conditions.

• Piste Maps: Detailed maps of the ski resort are available at their fingertips, ensuring everyone knows their way around.

• Après Recommendations: We provide curated suggestions for après-ski activities, ensuring that the fun continues off the slopes.

• Quizzes: To keep students entertained and engaged, we have included quizzes related to skiing and the local area.

• Separate Logins for Resort Reps: Our resort representatives have their own logins which gives them access to a range of tools to improve the service they can provide our groups.

Enhancing the Group Leader Experience

Winning the Innovator Award is a testament to our dedication to improving the Group Leader experience. By leveraging the capabilities of Vamoos, we have made it easier for Group Leaders to manage their trips efficiently and effectively. The app's offline functionality ensures that all critical information is accessible even in remote mountain locations, providing peace of mind and reducing the stress associated with trip management.

While the SkiBound team continue to personally craft every itinerary to meet the needs of the school, Vamoos allows these to be uploaded with a shareable link for Group Leaders to share hotel and resort information with parents to help field questions. 

The ability to create branded, professional-looking itineraries through Vamoos has also been a game-changer. Group Leaders can now present a polished and organised plan to parents and students, enhancing the overall perception of the trip.
