Why choose this resort?
SkiBound is delighted to introduce Pralognan-la-Vanoise. Situated at the end of the Tarentaise Valley, this relatively small resort is set at the foot of the Grande Casse and has been described as the hidden pearl of the Vanoise mountain range. From the Pralognan village at 1410m, the local ski area extends up to 2355m and groups choosing this location benefit from a day's skiing in nearby La Plagne. 70 snow cannons extend all the way down to the village and ensure excellent snow coverage is maintained. There is a superb range of apres-ski options in resort, including swimming, bowling and ice skating. The ice rink even featured as the stage for the 1992 Albertville Olympics!
On the Slopes
The Pralognan ski area caters well for all abilities. Beginners can build confidence on the gentle slopes of Mont Bocher, as well as the two beginner slopes right in the village. A range of tree-lined runs and testing mogul fields are available for intermediates and advanced skiers. Groups can look forward to putting everything into practice as their instructors accompany them on the last day to nearby La Plagne.

Apres-Ski

Apres-Ski
Despite the relatively small size of the village (compared to other French resorts), Pralognan la Vanoise has a fantastic selection of activities. Groups will find ice skating, curling, swimming, bowling and an arcade in the 'Prelude Olympique' sports and recreation centre. The village is located right at the end of the valley and doesn't have any main roads or heavy traffic running through it, therefore Pralognan is certainly one of the safest resorts for school groups.
