Why choose the Chalet Edelweiss
The Chalet Edelweiss is situated in Saint François Longchamp 1400. All rooms are en-suite and the Chalet has a total of 101 beds over three floors.
Renowned for its in-house catering and long experience of working with school groups, full-board accommodation is provided via buffet-style meals. Hot lunches are included, although packed lunches can be provided should these be requested. Two typically Savoyard evening meals are included in the ski tour menu.

Ski hire and facilities
Ski hire is organised via a short walk to the nearby ski shop, and groups will leave their skis in ski lockers owned by the shop. There are 3 activity/class rooms in the Chalet which can be used in the evenings, along with a room that can host discos and movie nights via the screen and projector.
Once a week, an instructor can also come to the Chalet to host a talk on the role of pisteurs and local avalanche rescue services.
ESF tuition information
The ESF meeting point is approximately 300m from the hotel.
- Intermediate skiers can be picked up by ESF Instructors at the meeting point
- Absolute beginners will take the local free ‘navette’ up to Saint Francois Longchamp to use the nursery slopes. (The navette runs from 8:30am to 7pm every day).
The instructors will take the group back to the hotel directly after skiing.
