Why choose this resort?

Known as ‘The Beast of the East’, the huge resort of Killington draws in snow-seekers near and far. A school ski trip to Killington offers schools looking for a variety of terrain to suit all abilities no less than 752 acres of cruisers and New England glades just waiting to be explored. The resort benefits from an average annual snowfall of 250 inches, and with 1,500 snow cannons reaching 80% of the resort’s acreage, Party Leaders can be sure they'll arrive to fresh powder stashes. Amongst its six peaks, ‘The Beast’ is home to the second highest in Vermont. Beyond the mountain’s stats, Killington is also home to a fun-filled and lively après-ski atmosphere that is sure to keep your students entertained long after the lifts have closed for the day.

On the slopes

Across its 3,000ft of vertical skiing and 70 miles of trails, Killington provides beginners, intermediates and advanced-level skiers with a broad choice of runs. Novices in your group may choose to take on part of the six-mile Juggernaut beginner run nearer the end of the week having developed their skills and confidence on the rest of the 28% of green slopes. From the mellow terrain found lower down to the bumps of Bear Mountain, intermediates can choose from 33% American blue-grade runs. 2 heated gondolas and 9 quad lifts help keep the resort ticking over and it is with a gondola ride to the summit where advanced skiers will be in their element exploring the tight trails of ‘The Big K’ including Lower Ovation, Superstar and Killington Peak. Freestyle skiers and snowboarders may seek out any of the 5 terrain parks including the 425ft long super-pipe in the Dream Maker, Timberline, Easy Street, and ‘The Stash’ located in the woods providing a rugged, untouched feel to ramps and natural wood wall rides.
