Why choose Sestriere

Sestriere was built in 1934 by the owners of the Fiat car company and is the first purpose-built resort in Italy. Standing as one of Italy’s highest resorts at 2,035 metres and with lifts up to 2,823 metres, Sestriere enjoys an excellent snow record. Host to most of the men’s downhill events during the 2006 Turin Olympics, Sestriere is internationally recognised for its fantastic skiing and magnificent scenery.

On the slopes

Beginner runs fan out above the ski school meeting point in the resort centre. Students then progress onto the intermediate-friendly areas of Banchetta and Sises. Groups on a school ski trip to Sestriere will enjoy a huge variety of runs for all abilities, and it is easy to get over to the wooded trails above neighbouring Sauze D’Oulx.

Après-ski

For groups who want to venture out of the hotel in the evenings, Sestriere offers a cosmopolitan array of bars and restaurants. There is also a natural outdoor ice rink and a swimming pool offering impressive views via heated indoor and outdoor pools.
