This attractive old spa town is located in the southern region of Carinthia and is one of the best known ski areas in Austria. Bad Kleinkirchheim (BKK for short) is the home of Downhill ski legend Franz Klammer and is now a major international sports centre playing host to several world cup events.
Resort
BKK boasts 27 ski lifts, over 100km of piste, 2 spa baths, snowboarding, sledging, skating and much more. The resort has invested heavily in a new, silent snowmaking system with around 500 cannons providing one of the highest snow coverage for a resort in Europe.
Ski level
The ski area of BKK is well suited for beginners and intermediates alike. Our groups normally start skiing in St. Oswald where the nursery areas are very gentle. The bubble up to the summit here allows access to some lovely reds and blues, whilst the carefully positioned lifts in BKK itself open up a maze of reds and blacks that will more than satisfy your demands for the week.
Snowboarding
Snowboarding is available with a snowboard park, obstacles, and a ‘Big Air’.
