On the slopes
Although Prato’s not the biggest of resorts, when combined with neighbouring Artesina and Fabroso Soprana there’s more than enough to keep even the most experienced skiers contented. From village level to higher ground, Prato Nevoso has a wide choice of beginner slopes, with wide-open runs allowing students to develop their turns and build confidence. Intermediates have the greatest selection of runs to choose from with approximately 70% of red-run terrain, including long cruisers and high bowls. Advanced skiers don’t have to travel far with the Artesina side providing a number of challenging slopes and mogul runs. The snowpark provides freestylers and snowboarders with a variety of jumps and rails. Prato Nevoso has a long history of promoting snowboarding, and the halfpipe and boardercross course will certainly keep the thrill seekers occupied before they choose to venture to the local snowboard museum to learn how the sport has impacted on the resort.
