Why choose this resort?
On the slopes
A dedicated beginners’ area at the middle station is a great chance to develop core concepts before heading to the higher slopes where incredible views across the Ossiacher Lake and the Slovenian borders await.
Due to ongoing investment to lift systems and snowmaking facilities, Gerlitzen has seen its popularity grow with skiers and snowboarders. Queuing for lifts is rare meaning students can maximise their time on the slopes. Clearly defined, well-groomed pistes with rustic mountain huts pave the way for groups while students can also grab a snack at one of the sun-terrace restaurants.
SkiBound groups benefit from pre-arranged ski storage on the mountain as well as hot lunches in one of the many mountain restaurants. Located close to the city of Villach, groups have access to a broad choice of shops, activities and evening entertainments.
